How short can (fairly thin, straight) hair be without it standing up and looking stupid? An inch? Two?

I'm am thinking of it. We'll see. If I don't like it, i'll just (slowly) grow it back out. I'm actually considering even shorter.

Can you get it spiky, or is it too thin? Either way, really short is good.

Oh. Hmm. Well, tell them you want a nice short cut that will minimize the baldness. Trust me, you will look less bald if your hair is short.
