May. 10th, 2006 12:44 amGreetings from Atlanta. The weather has been a bit cold, but it's not like I spend a lot of time outside. So far, things have gone well here for work. There's been an easy service call, and the rest is training, which is never too bad.
The bad news is that I decided to take a nap after class this afternoon. I slept four hours, which is going to screw up my sleep this evening.
As far as game shows go, Deal or No Deal isn't bad. I kinda like the fake drama and tension that they add. Well, I guess it's real tension, but it's amped up with commercial breaks and such. Anyway, it makes for good background TV.
Being on the road all the time, I get to spend less time with my girl. This is good and bad. I mean, it's always good to have me-time, but I really really really like Q-time. I'd rather have my me-time in few-hour doses instead of days on end. But it's okay, since we spend most of our weekend time together. We're very comfortable together, we have arguments but we handle them well, and we're constantly learning more about each other and how our individual brains work. It's going well. I'm really happy.
With all the travel I've been doing lately, I've been starting a collection of shot glasses for Q. We're up to four right now (MSP, SC, RI, and Grand Rapids) and basically every time I travel I pick her up another one at the airport. I'm going to start picking up more magnets for her, too, because she likes magnets for her metal kitchen cabinets. So far she just has a loon magnet from Minneapolis. Well, she has a lot of other magnets, but that's the only travel magnet so far.
Since it's a thing going round, I'll join the movie meme. Two quotes from ten of my favorite movies, and you can guess the movie.
