Jul. 3rd, 2005 04:54 pmToday Tonya* and i went to the Museum of Contemporary Art, which we both enjoyed. The main exhibit right now is a retrospective of an artist named Dan Flavin who works with light, as in fluorescent tubes. It was really amazing, especially the way the light bounced off of the walls. Recommended. I also bought a present for Miss Dyanne and a lot of stationery so I can send people letters. I like sending letters, though you'd never know that give that I don't send letters very much.
( Picture of Tonya with the FLAVIN! )
After that we walked down to Grant Park for the Taste of Chicago. It was waaaaay too fucking crowded. We had beer-battered artichoke hearts, a mediocre boneless rib sammich, and ice cream. Then we came home. We stopped at the Belmont stop so I could poop.
*For those that do not know, Tonya is one of my very good friends who recently moved back to Chicago from the Pacific Northwest. She's living in my dining room for a month or so while she gets settled. She's nice.
