I bought three cool things yesterday.
First is the dvd for
Mr. Show, season 4. I am of the opinion that most television does not have much repeat viewing potential, so i don't see the point of buying NYPD Blue or West Wing or whatever on dvd, but I can make exceptions. Intelligent comedy is the primary excpetion, so if it's Monty Python's Flying Circus, Mr. Show, The Simpsons, etc., then I can see it. I should also point out that (a) I'm an elitist fuckwad, and (b) I have a lot of MOVIES that don't have great repeat viewing potential, so I'm actually a hypocritical elitist fuckwad.
Second, I bought a wireless optical mouse for my laptop computer, and I think it is grand. It's a
Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse and what I like about it over the competition is that the USB doodad snaps into the bottom of the mouse for easy storage and transportation. Works great and is comfortable.
Third, I bought some
Sennheiser PCX250 noise-cancelling headphones If you're in the market for headphones of any type, I recommend Sennheiser. They make great sounding products that are durable. If you're looking for a regular everyday pair, I like
the PX100's, which are only $40 but will serve you well. If your ears demand even beter sound (and your pocketbook is a little thicker), then they have many more options, even some with velvet lined ear cans. Also, a great site about headphones is www.headphones.com. I bought a headphone amplifier from them.
Today I bought another great thing that I'd like to tell you about. It's the Taco Bell Caramel Apple Empenada. This is a yummy dessert, and it's fried like the yummy McDonald's Apple Pies used to be before they changed to the crap they have now. It tastes a lot like the old McD's pies, but there is definately a caramely goodness to it. 'Tis yummy, it is.
The next purchase will be a better computer bag. I carry around a lot of gizmogadgets and I need more room. I think I'm going to go with a backpack-style bag.
