dvds to watch
Aug. 10th, 2003 08:01 pmI've got some dvds for you to put on your Netflix queue, or to look for at your local video store:
House of Yes - An odd film that features a great performance by Parker Posey. Not a great film, but worth a rent for a night when you want something different.
Boondock Saints -
hamadryad recommend this film and I'm glad she did. It's an interesting story and quite well done. It's not perfect, but it's definitely worth a rent.
12 Angry Men - Amazing film. Just astounding all around. You simple MUST watch this film. It's about a jury deciding the outcome of a capital murder trial, and it makes no easy choices and features just AMAZING acting. It's a MUST-RENT.
Wet, Hot American Summer - Okay, I'll be honest. A lot of you won't like this film. It's a loose parody of the summer camp films of the 80's. It's done by the people who brought you MTV's The State. It's funny and quirky and downright STRANGE in some parts. But I love it to death and some of you might, too.
Also, Toby Keith must die.
Also also, i'll never get another date as long as I live. TV has convinced me of that. But I have some Nerve personals that I've put on my Hot List that I'll write just as soon as I can. Here's one. Here's another. Here's yet another. My experience tells me that they won't write back, but we'll see, shan't we? Think positive. Think positive. Nothing bad can come of trying.
