I've got nothing to say. Except this:
  1. I have new CD's, which I will review for y'all once I've had a chance to listen to them a little bit. They are:

    • The Streets - Original Pirate Material
    • Ingrid Lucia - Fortune
    • Neko Case and Her Boyfriends - Furnace Room Lullaby
  2. NYC plans are still up in the air. I don't know what I'll do.

  3. I haven't seen a movie since the four on Friday. Two more tomorrow, though: Real Women Have Curves and a repeat viewing of Punch-Drunk Love.

  4. Thursday is Sonic Voodoo @ The Lyon's Den for the first time since July 4th. I miss me some Sonic Voodoo.

  5. 8 Mile opens on Friday. I'm going to see it with my beautiful friend Tish.

  6. I got to see nymysysTonya for a bit on Saturday night, but not enough. Same with her puppy. I could have used a lot more hugs and smooches. In good news, however, I gave a guy a dollar to eat half a Beggin' Strip. Then I didn't give him a dollar to not quite eat a cheezy bone. He also didn't quite eat a bacony mailman. Later, a blone girl with dredlocks ate a cheezy bone and was very sexy about it. She got $5, but from [livejournal.com profile] typo_mna, not me.

  7. I went to the PackExpo trade show here in Chicago yesterday. It reminded me that I hate these god damn trade shows. Thursday I go back and work in my company's booth.

  8. I'm still utterly alone, just like Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice. I can't wait until it's my turn to be elevated into the air to lip-sync Harry Belefonte's Jump in the Line while backed-up by a group of green-faced football-playing ghosts.

I finished One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest during an extended trip to the restroom. I was surprised at how little I remembered. Of course, I only read the first 1/4 of it in high school, and I've only seen the movie once (about 6 or 7 years ago). I'mma rent the movie one of these days soon.

I plan to spend the afternoon deciding which of my books to read next.

Voting

So, I voted. Of course, it's really not going to make a difference. Mostly the Democratic party because (a) during my research I reaffirmed that they best represent me and (b) I hate George Bush and his administration and fear the idea of both houses having Republican control. Bush is a cowboy and a puppet for the religious right and I can't wait to not vote for him in two years. Don't like it? Blow me.

I'm becoming more and more pessimistic about everything. Certainly part of it is due to the beginning of the Holiday Depression Season. The things I read on LJ are making me more and more livid and depressed. Mad and sad. What a combination. I'm jealous and I'm mean-spirited and I have a bleak outlook on the immediate future. When i'm left to my own devices, I just want to destroy things and anger people. Of course, when I'm actually face-to-face with someone, I'm happy and chipper, leading me to believe that these feeling aren't really feelings at all but some sort of bullshit that I'm doing just to be different.

So much like the rest of the world, I like myself in small doses but I wouldn't want to be around me all the time. I briefly toyed with deleting this bullshit altogether, but that just seems so attention-whorish. So whatever. I don't think it's going anywhere, but I wouldn't be surprised, either.

The next book for my reading pleasure is Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle. I'm guessing it's not going to leave me all happy and twirly.
