Ah, yes, another top ten six list because I can...
  1. Had my initial appointment for my sleep apnea thing. After talking with me for 10 minutes, the nurse said that I probably had it pretty bad. I don't know how she determined that, but that's what she said. The doctor came in and did a lot of tests that made me wonder if she was under the mistaken impression that she was supposed to see if I was drunk. At least she didn't have me say the alphabet backwards. Next Tuesday night I get to go sleep for them.

  2. They gave me some brochures on sleep apnea and said that wearing the breathing mask would make me feel more rested and all that. I'm sure it's true, but the masks and headgear that I looked at certainly don't look very comfortable. But they'll stop my snoring, so Rasa won't mind sleeping with me again.

  3. Why is there not a cable network dedicated to monkeys playing sports?

  4. The Red Wings signed Curtis Joseph, which makes me very happy indeed.

  5. My couch isn't all that comfortable.

  6. I can't think of anything else worthwhile to share.

Update of a list I made last year...

  1. New Jersey - A great design. Historic, artistic, and significant. Hands-down the best.
  2. Virginia - Nice boats. Interesting design that isn't boring or stupid.
  3. North Carolina - Airplane theme looks nice on a coin.
  4. Rhode Island - Nice boat design. Doesn't say much about the state, really, but it is Rhode Island that we're talking about here.
  5. Connecticut - Big-ass tree. Pretty tree. Won't be on my list of things to see on my next trip to CT. This design has grown on me, however, and it's leaped past MD, NY, and MA on the list.
  6. Mississippi - A nice design. Pick something important to the state (magnolia flowers in this case) and do it well. Don't try to jam everything into the design.
  7. Massachusetts - Why do they feel the need to show us what shape their state is? I mean, who really cares? This is the best of the ones that do.
  8. New York - Same basic design as Massachusetts, just a different shaped state and a different statue. MA wins because it was out first.
  9. Tennesee - A better idea in concept. The instrumets are arranged boringly. Could have been better.
  10. Maryland - Different, though the dome of the capitol building (or whatever that is) isn't my idea of exciting. At least it's original.
  11. Indiana - Really, who didn't expect an indy car? Nice enough thought, but the shape of the state is awkward on the coin, as is the circle of stars (is that from thir flag, I assume?)
  12. South Carolina - Oh, THAT'S what SC looks like. At least the bird/tree break up the boringness.
  13. Georgia - Peachy. Get it? PEACH-y! I kill me.
  14. Pennsylvania - She looks like she's doing the John Travolta dance from Saturday Night Fever. Nice toga, though.
  15. Ohio - What does Ohio have to do with space exploration other than being the birthplace of John Glenn? Or aviation for that matter? I mean, I know the answer, but really isn't it just saying "Ohio: Where people go to other states and do better things."
  16. Delaware - Does ANYONE know who the fuck Caesar Rodney is? This looks like they only had an afternoon to come up with a design.
  17. Kentucky - I can't believe they didn't pick the design of the one-toothed man copulating with his own sister.
  18. Vermont - Sapping is not a way to promote a state.
  19. Louisiana - A horrible horrible horrible coin. They tried to fit everything on the damn thing. I'm surprised there isn't a crawfish on there somewhere, too. The Louisiana purchase homage makes the state look insignificant, yet they still try to show you the shape of the state. The trumpet accross the top makes it look like the Nova Scotia is playing a ditty for Alberta and British Columbia. The pelican in Mexico is nice, but doesn't fit with the design. If they'd just put a Pelican on the back of the coin and be done with it, it'd probably be nice.
  20. New Hampshire - What the hell is that thing? Isn't that Thing of the Fantastic Four?
