Apr. 22nd, 2001 05:58 pmSo, i found out that a casual acquaintence on The Straight Dope message board is a movie director. I actually own his short film on dvd. I've had it for a month and never watched it and here it turns out that i sort of know the guy. Well, not KNOW, but I've at least talked to him online once or twice. How cool is that?
My big trip last night took me to the big city of chicago. I was meeting some of my on-line friends. Good food, better company, and there was actually an engagement! dpr the Aussie decided to pop the question to Nymysys right there in front of everyone. Needless to say, it was hard to top that. It seemed like an awfully quick engagement to me, but sometimes people just know they have the right thing. I hope for the best. They're both good people and if they can make each other happy then I am all for it!
The Red Wings lost again last night. They're now down 3 games to 2 and it doens't look good for them. They're suffering from a lot of injuries and hopefully they can still somehow pull this series out of their collective asses.
Not too much more to talk about. I have a long week coming up, that'll suck. I'm supposed to be in the city from 10am to 8pm for three days. I hope i can sneak out early. I don't really want to spen 10 hours in my company's hospitality suite (not to mention an hour drive each way). I shouldn't have agreed. I also hope I have the cash for it. I can almost hear the checks bouncing...
