(no subject)

I'm having a hard time with who to root for in the World Series. The Rangers have never won, but then again they're from Texas. The Giants haven't won it since the 50's, so it's not like they're the Yankees or soemthing, and they're NOT from Texas, which is a good thing. In the end, I'm going with the Rangers, because Don Welke, their Senior Special Assistant to the GM & Scouting, used to babysit me. Well, his wife did, while Mr. Welke was assistant principal and athletic director at the high school (working for my dad, who was the principal). He was a scout for the Reds at the time, and eventually left to work full-time for the Blue Jays. I should send him a card or something.
