Aug. 9th, 2010 08:10 pmI made a delicious dinner last night in an attempt to recreate a dish Q had in Sturgeon Bay a few weeks back. It was a Guinness-braised pot roast sandwich with bacon-braised red cabbage with mustard sauce. In retrospect, I would have added a little horseradish to the mustard sauce.
To assemble: Get a bun (I used a kaiser roll) and put the bottom half on a big bowl or plate. Scatter around a good handful of kettle chips (it's important that they get some gravy and mustard sauce on them!). Put a pile of beef mostly on the bun. The add some guinness gravy. Then pile on some red cabbage. Then add some mustard sauce. Then ask yourself what you did in life that was so good as to deserve this meal.
