R.I.P. Phil Harris
Feb. 10th, 2010 08:30 amOne of my favorite crab boat captains, Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie, has died. He was only 53. I have a Cornelia Marie sweatshirt and shall wear it today in his memory.
My other favorite is Sig Hansen of the Northwestern. I'd be surprised if he doesn't die young, too. They all stay up for days at a time chain smoking and stressing just to make a (pretty comfortable) living.
