Chicago Air Force
Jun. 5th, 2009 02:24 pmI made a Zazzle store and now I have Chicago Air Force stuff for sale. So far I just used the design that Rue helped with. I may make some stuff with a one-star roundel later; maybe I'll say that's the roundel for the fighter group (out of Palwaukee, obviously).
I also started writing a little history for the CAF. Did you know that:
1. The Chicago Air Force was one of the most feared municipal air forces of it's time?
2. The 71st Bomb Wing operated out of Meigs Field from the late 1920's through 1963? They are perhaps best known for their bravery against the Milwaukee Air Corps during the Battle of Waukegan in 1931.
This is fun. I wish I had thought of it years ago.
