And, baby, it IS cold outside.

So, Q and I watched Elf a couple of nights ago, and it rekindled my love of Zooey Deschanel, specifically her "Baby, It's Cold Outside" duet with Leon Redbone*. So I started listening to other versions**, and I have to say that I like the Zooey/Leon version the best just because of the tempo. I think it works better as a torchy slow song than a lilting song.

But the OHMYGOD worst version, the one that almost never makes me want to listen to any version of the song ever again is the Jessica Simpson/Nick Lachey version***. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be shot.
