What's in a name?
Jul. 24th, 2008 12:20 pmSo this couple in New Zealand named their little girl Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii. Shockingly, the little girl hates the name. So, a judge has made her a ward of the state in order to have her name changed.
Incidentally, the article also mentions some names that have been allowed and refused. Names that were allowed include: Violence, Number 16 Bus Shelter, Midnight Chardonnay, and twins named Benson and Hedges. Denied names include: Yeah Detroit, Stallion, Twisty Poi, Keenan Got Lucy, Sex Fruit, Fat Boy, Cinderella Beauty Blossom, and twins Fish and Chips.
A little arbitrary on what's allowed and what's not allowed, it seems. Also, I'd like to be known as Twisty Poi Wilder from now on, please. Or maybe that's what I'll name our next dog.
