Tomorrow is only a day away, I'm told.
Mar. 16th, 2008 03:49 pmI'm in the UK now, about 13 hours away from boarding my plane back to H.O.M.E. which is the place I most want to be. I'm glad to be in the UK, though, and I had a steak and ale pie for supper and am now nursing a cup of tea. To make
missfran happy, I'm watching cricket. It's a test match between England and New Zealand. It wasn't a good day for England, but they have a comfortable lead so they'll probably win it when play resumes tomorrow. Edit: Tomorrow was today, thanks to the time difference. So what I watched were highlight from yesterday, and today the English did indeed finish off the Kiwis. I wish I could see cricket at home, because it's kinda fun to watch, especially the South African referee who never cracks a smile and is painfully slow with his calls. End Edit
I've been telling everyone from the Colombians in my training class to the Germans teaching it to my Welsh shuttle driver from the airport today that Chicago is the place to visit in the USA, which I truly believe. I should work for the Chicago tourism board or something.
Upgrade to business class tomorrow, so it should be a comfortable (if long) eight-hour flight tomorrow. TOTALLY worth the 10k miles.
I bought a shitload of games, of course. I couldn't find a game store, so it was all stuff that I found at a department store. Nothing too exciting, though I did find Ubongo Extrem, which is not published in English. I got Pants and Paul a copy, too. Everything else is mostly just small games.
Home tomorrow! Unfortunately, I still have to wait a few more days until I see my Q. But I'll have two dogs and five cats that will be happy to see me. Flibbity dee!
