Business travel is NOT glamorous.
Sep. 14th, 2006 04:37 pmI've had 20 flights since August 1. That's a lot. Actually, I've only been on 19 flights, but in an hour that'll increment.
It'll be 62 on American for the year. Plus one on US Air.
I've spent about 50 nights in a Marriott room this year, plus another 10 or so in Holiday Inn or "Other".
Since 1 June, I've had only two week with no airline travel (one of those was 4th of July week).
Yesterday I got 7000 miles from American because I flight that I was on got delayed by several hours, even though I wasn't booked on it when it got delayed.
Yesterday I also got 5000 points from Marriott because they booked me in a room that already had someone in it. I heard the TV and knocked, which is good because the last time that happened (in June, in California) I opened the door to a guy in his underwear kneeling under the desk (I assume to plug in his computer, but I didn't stay around long enough to be sure). No miles for that one (i didn't ask for compensatory miles/points in either of the cases where I got them, FYI).
