So I flew home from Dallas on Friday night and got upgraded to first class. There was a meal served, and it was okay. I wish I hadn't eaten it, though, because when I got to The Q's place, she hadn't eaten dinner. We went to Campignolia in Evanston, and OH MY GOD WAS IT GOOD. Having already eaten dinner, I opted for an appetizer (seared scallops with fennel) and a small salad. Susan got the Halibut special. It was all SO DELICIOUS. Her halibut was simply amazing. Perfectly cooked. We finished up with a lemon marscapone tart. YUM ALSO.

Yesterday I made hot wings. In lieu of blue cheese dressing (which I normally would say is a MUST), I made a sour cream and cucumber (grown in our garden) sauce that was very delicious and refreshing. It also had ginger juice that made it even better. We've had four cucumbers already and in a week or two we're going to have a bunch more. And they're delicious.

The pumpkins, on the other hand, seem bent on taking over the world. We're talking growth of Audrey II proportions. No pumpkins as of yet, though.

On the gaming front, I've been trying to participate more on boardgamegeek.com. I've now written two reviews (NHL Ice Breaker and Crokinole), submitted a few pictures, and I just sumbitted my first Session Report (for a game of NHL Ice Breaker last night where The Q SPANKED me 7-2). Geekgold is building, slowly but surely.

I think my new favorite band is Jesus H Christ and the Four Hornsmen of the Apocolypse. They're hard to describe... Punk, alternative, etc. Some of my favorite songs by them are Conencticut's for Fucking, Vicki's a Pro, Nipples, and Do Me.

I need another bowl of cereal.
