Mar. 8th, 2006 09:12 pmWow. I haven't updated my journal in over a week. Did anyone notice?
One of my recent entries mentioned my rekindled love for cooking. The extravaganza has continued, and so have the purchases. I just got (from Amazon) a 7-qt Enameled-Cast-Iron pot from Lodge cookware. IT IS BEAUTIFUL, not to mention a bargain since the similar Le Cruset pot costs $100 more. Hopefully the quality is there.
I also got jelly roll pans and cooling racks, and a pizza stone. Oh, and last week I got a magnetic knife rack and a cool beaker and an electric knife and a BUNCH of spices from The Spice House, which is awesome.
Last night I made Alton Brown's Red Snapper en Papillote last night (substituting filets for the whole fish, which wasn't available). It was awesome.
I really need to attempt to quit smoking again. Never quit quitting!
Tomorrow I go to Oroville, California, for a work gig. Last week I was in Providence for a big sales event. The week after next I go to Greensboro NC for TWO WEEKS.
That's all I can think of, though it seemed like I had a lot more to talk about.
