Today, I'd like to recommend some music to you. The band is Ok Go, a Chicago band that prior to this week I only knew from the fact that they did the theme song to the Chicago Public Radio show Odyssey, as well as one of the live This American Life broadcasts. Well, their albums are not public-radioy at all. In fact, they're downright poppy with a hint of grunge. They sound sort of like Franz Ferdinand, a comparison I'm reluctant to make since I really don't know FF's music THAT well. Anyway, I think they're worth a listen. They Might Be Giants' John Flansburgh liked them so much he became the band's manager. For those of you that have iTunes and are willing to spend 99ยข on a chance, download the song Get Over It on their album called Ok Go. I'm currently in love with it and want to have it's babies. Unfortunately, I've yet to convince the song to sleep with me.

Here's an iTunes link to the song. Don't click it if you don't have iTunes.
You can listen to 30 clips on their website, too.

And now I have to pack for Providence. Those in the Greater Providenceland Area might be interested to know that my favorite Chicago band, The Ghettobillies are playing tomorrow night in Somerset MA, a mere 30 minute drive from The Divine City. The Ghettobillies play from 8:30-9:20, so you can still be home early enough to, um, sleep I guess. I'm going, needless to say, so if you're interested let me know.

I'm back Friday morning. Friday evening is a date with Pants and Grumbly.

There's a tiny little ant crawling across the bathroom floor in my hotel room. It looked lonely, like it was trying to find his little ant friends. I hope he finds 'em. It'd suck to be in a big lonely space with no friends.
