my throat is killing me, probably because the smoking makes me cough so much lately. So I'm cutting waaaaaaaaaaay back on the smokes for the next couple of days. This morning, when I would cough it would give me the dry heaves. It was highly unpleasant.

Now I'm off to CVS and/or Target for socks and throat lozenges. This afternoon I'm off yet again.

(Nancy- Tonya will be coming by to look after the moo, but if you want to stop by tomorrow and thursday, too, I'm sure moo would love the extra company.

The cab I ordered was way late, so I hopped up to Foster Ave. to find a cab. Finally I did, going in the wrong direction. He was off for the day, but he agreed to take me to O'Hare. On the way, he talked about his religion of Islam. He was very passionate and it was very interesting to hear him talk about it. He told me that he agreed to give me a ride because he could see that I was worried (about missing my flight) and he wanted to help. He said that was the best kind of gift you could give.

When the ride was over, he gave me an English copy of the Qur'an and some other associated literature. I'll end up keeping it for a long time, if the past is any indication. A friend of mine gave me a copy of The Book of Morman in 1994 and I still have it because I wouldn't feel right throwing away something that means so much to the person who gave it to me. Maybe some day I'll give it to a library or used book shop or something.

I also felt bad because I looked through it before I went through security to make sure it didn't have any explosives in it. I swear that it had nothing to do with Islam; the only thing that I thought of was "don't accept packages from strangers before getting on the plane".
