One of my favorite movies (and certainly my favorite documentary) is Errol Morris' Gates of Heaven, a look into the pet cemetery industry. It was released today on dvd, and you should go to netflix right now and add it to your queue. It wouldn't hurt to check out Morris' IFC series First Person while you're at it. Both are brilliant.

And while you're at it, check out this brilliant short segment he did on the Oscars a few years back. It makes me tear up, but that might be because...

I've been googling high school and college friends the last two days, so I'm feeling sentimental (a feeling that I'm not used to). Here is the website of one of my best high school friends Drew. He's married with three beautiful kids and I am jealous of him.

If you're thinking you might want to try a fun game, I recommend Ticket To Ride and Settlers of Catan as starters. Luckily, both of these are also available for online play:

• Ticket To Ride is played against other people around the world, with a five-minute tutorial movie you can watch to learn how to play. The TTR Europe map also available, but beginners will probably want to start with the USA map.
• Catan is available for download from Yahoo playing against computer AI opponents. There's a 60 minute free trial, and it's $30 after that. If your free trial runs out and you want to play more, download it again from MSN for another trial version of exxentially the same thing. You'll want to turn the game speed up because it starts out slooooooooow.
