May. 2nd, 2005 03:36 pmEels released a new album last week called "Blinking Lights and Other Revelations". It's a two-CD set, actually. So I bought it on iTunes. And the single version of the song "Hey Man", and the B-Sides/Rarities compilation. I listened to a bit on my iPod on the way in, and I liked it, as I like Eels. It's kinda alternatingly sad then happy, as they often do. There's a electronic-ized version of "Novocaine For the Soul" that's quite funky.
What kind of mix CD would y'all like next?

May. 2nd, 2005 09:27 pmI saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I enjoyed it very much. My crush on Zooey Deschanel is renewed. I love her eyes (blue, reminding me of Katrina), her voice, the pacing of her voice, her freckles, her name, her shower scene, and of course she's beautiful to boot. Now then, the realization here is that it's incredibly stupid, juvenile, and pointless to have a crush on a celebrity. Sure, they make for good masturbation material, but i've had better masturbation thinking of, um, people I know (you probably know who you are). Anyway, my point is that - while I'm not ready to give up on love, at least not for another fifteen-twenty minutes -- celebrity crushes are stupid.
Though I still occasionally wonder if Nicole Kidman likes it in the ass. And also, I desperately want to kiss Zooey Deschanel.
