Feb. 27th, 2005 07:20 pmOh... As you remember, maybe, I was supposed to fly to Mexico this morning. That's been delayed for a couple of days because a package that I was supposed to receive Saturday morning never arrived. Maybe it'll come tomorrow, or maybe Tuesday. We don't know for sure. Once I get it, we'll reschedule the trip. I can't say that I'm particularly looking forward to it, but at least I'll get another 2300 American miles, which gets me that much closer to getting Premiere status. It's been a long-time stupid goal of mine to get premiere status on an airline's frequent flier plan, because then you get to use their special club. Which probably sucks, but whatever. To qualify you have to fly 25000 miles in a calendar year. The trip to Mexico (actually to southern Texas, and a long car ride from there) will get me to 9000 for the year, and since it's only been two months, that's a good start. Let's do a quick calculation, shall we? If it takes nine weeks (roughly) to get 9000 miles, how long will it take to get 25000 miles? Assume that the average rate of mile accumulation remains constant, and that wind resistance is negligible.
Also, I'm bored silly. I'm about to watch the Oscars, even though I really don't care about them at all.
