I had a dream that I was hanging out with Don King (though he looked like the evil band director from Drum Line) and we were getting along pretty well and he mentioned that when we got home, we could both write all about it in our livejournals.  Bill Cosby was there, all surly and reading the newspaper and mentioned about recording something onto laser disk and I told him he should get a dvd recorder and said "Can't you people just go grab one and walk out of the store?" and everyone hushed me worredly and I thought maybe they took "you people" to mean blacks when I meant it to mean ultra-rich celebrities.  I didn't mean to imply that The Cos was black and therefore a thief!  I think my parents were there somewhere, too.

So, I just went to Ikea for the first time.  I like the place, and I could see myself furnishing my whole house there.  I think this weekend I am going to buy a sofa (leather Ektorp) and a coffee table (Leksvik) and maybe a rug.  But that's it for now.

I'm hungry.  I think I'll order some pasta.  In Canada I noticed that they said "PAST-uh" instead of the American pronounciation "PAH-sta".  I just thought it was kinda backwards; normally we're more nasal.
