Jan. 12th, 2005 11:15 amThe truths and lies of the statements in my last post:
- My brother and I once found ~$10,000 cash in a stack of old newspapers. - True, though there was a friend involved as well. We got a nice reward and were on the local news.
- I have eaten goose feet. - On multiple occasions, in Taiwan.
- I chose both the brand of cigarettes I smoke and the shampoo that I use because an old crush of mine smoked/used the same brands. - Totally true. I crush hard.
-
I once saw six full-length movies in the theater in one day. - Nope. I've done five movies twice and four movies countless times, but never six. -
I have held a monkey. - Nope, though I've had the opportunity. - I once got my vehicle stuck in a snowbank when it was freezing raining (is that grammatically correct?) and I was wearing bedroom slippers instead of shoes. - Totally true. It was at a movie theater near Flint, Michigan, and my buddy Chris was with me. The theater was closed by the time I got stuck, and we had to walk (in the freezing rain, in bedroom slippers) to phone fraternity brothers to bail us out.
-
My favorite pizza is pepperoni and olive. - I don't like olives. I prefer pepperoni and mushrooms. - The only A I got in my high school art class was for a pencil drawing of the Pope. - True. I was very proud of myself.
- I have recorded a radio ad. - True, for a school funding proposal when I was a high school senior. It didn't pass.
-
I once saw former NFL field-goal kicker Eddie Murray drop kick a basketball full-court through the hoop. - Nope, I saw him try a few times when some members of the Detroit Lions played our high school faculty at basketball. He came really close, but he never made it.
