Dec. 22nd, 2004 06:27 pmToday I went to Blistex in the morning, watching the little tubes of chapped-lip-healing goodness get made. My company's product helps make that stuff, so remember that next time you use it. Also, the whole place smelled like, well, Blistex.
In the afternoon, I went to a company who makes machinery to test sporting goods equipment. They have a machine that swings a golf club and makes a 600 yard drive. And they just worked on a machine to throw a baseball 180 m.p.h., to test aluminum bats (which apparently don't like it very much.
Sometimes my job is pretty cool.
