Edited to add: WELL, FUCK. My favorite music venue is no longer my favorite music venue. The wonderful Lyon's Den, home of the best sound in Chicago, is being sold and will become a full-time sports bar. Because Chicago needs another sports bar. Ghettobillies play there on Thursday July 22 and everyone should be there because I SAID SO. On the 27th, it's all ESPN, all the time.

Anyone want to go to Brookfield Zoo this weekend? They've got aardvarks and hippos and walri and LOTS of other animals! I'm thinking of going on the 4th and hoping it's not too crowded.
