My girlfriend was way way way too nice to me for my birthday. First we did an Odyssey Cruise, which is a dinner cruise that sails up and down the Chicago lakefront. Now, she had a gift certificate for that, but the drinks still needed to be paid for. And then we stayed the night in The Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. gifts she got me: Three shirts (complete with directions to tell me what color pants to wear with them, because I have no fashion sense), a $50 gift certificate to a big & tall store, a gift certificate for a nice car wash, lots of scented things to make my apartment and car smell better, and a Namiki Vanishing Point fountain pen. It's just insane the amount of money she spent on me; i'm not sure I'm really worth it. And then today we went to The Art Institute and had a nice lunch, but we split that.

It was a great weekend, but I can't believe how much she spent on me. It's embarrassing, really. I don't know why. It was a very good weekend.
