markjwilder: (Sleepy Elsie Moo-Cow)
I've taken to snuggling with my kitty at night. She has her own little bed on some boxes (of porn) next to my bed, so as i'm going off to sleep, I pet her. And my hand stays with her allllll night. The poor little kitty has a cold right now. She's all sneezy. Also, I'm thinking about getting her a brother or sister to keep her entertained during the long hours I'm at work. We'll see. I don't want to be crazy cat guy, particularly.

Yesterday was a good day. I made yummy leg-o-lamb (not to be confused with Legolas or Lego Land) and potatoes and asparagus. I was quite happy with how it turned out, even if I didn't make enough of the potatoes and asparagus. More cooking tonight, and hopefully more sleep because I'm sleepy.

I can't think of much else to talk about. How are you?

(Oh, Tibby, I like this song... Thanks!)

JEERS to Netflix's recommendation system. Just because I rented Grave of the Fireflies (and rated it fairly low, I might add), that doesn't mean I want to see every piece of anime ever drawn. In fact, I don't like most of the anime that I've seen. So can it.

CHEERS to the Internet Movie Database's new search engine making it easier to find people. If you type "David Schneider" in the search box, instead of just listing 12 different David Schneiders, it gives you a movie that they worked on. Do you mean David Schneider, the guy who worked sound in 10 Things I Hate About You, or David Schneider, the writer/director of Stark Raving Mad (which comes out tomorrow on dvd, and you should all go buy it!), or do you mean David Schneider the actor from the 1971 film Machismo: 40 Graves for 40 Guns? So much easier. This is good work.

JEERS to Amazon's new "search within the book". Every time I search for something now, I get 15000 books referencing that item before I actually get the item. It forces you to search "Books" or "Music" or whatever, instead of all products. I'm sure it will come in handy someday, though.

I put all of my MP3's on Windows Media Player and set it to random. Here are the first twenty to play:

Serendipity's Top Twenty )

Incidentally, if this had been on iTunes on my home PC, there would have been a lot more blues and/or songs I had never heard before. THAT'S JUST A LOT OF MUSIC THAT I HAVE.
