Edited to Add: Also, everyone but me seems to have had a fucked-up dream last night. I had a dream that the girl who works in our company cafeteria got upset because she put my lunch in the styrofoam container upside-down.

Aardvark!

So, I was watching Animal Planet last night (now that I get it) and there was a show about births of baby animals. One of the animals that gave birth was an aardvark. It was SO cute, the baby aardvark. Maybe even cuter than the baby hippo. Now I want to be an aardvark in my next life instead of a flying squirrel. And, as you can see, it also inspired a new userpic for me.

Aardvarks (Orycteropus afer) are from sub-Saharan Africa and weigh 40-100 kg on average. They eat ants and termites, but they are not closely related to the smaller (not to mention tiny-eared) South American Giant Anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla) (picture). The meat of the aardvark is said to have the texture of course beef and the taste of pork, but if you eat an aardvark I'll hunt you down and stab you in the eye with a fork. Also, aardvarks are colorblind.

Concerts

I just got two tickets to see Neko Case at Schuba's on Saturday, October 11. I also got two tickets to see Ween at The Vic on Saturday, November 8. I don't think I'll have any problem finding someone to go to Neko with me. Ween, I'm not so sure about.
