Okay, first I need to give mad propz to [livejournal.com profile] suebdoo who left me a message when I asked for them last week. She even invited me to go to a strip club with her, sort of. Sorry I didn't thank you sooner, Sue!

Now then. SUPER mad propz to [livejournal.com profile] pucette, [livejournal.com profile] bristlesage, [livejournal.com profile] postmoderngirl, and [livejournal.com profile] juniper200 who left me messages in French, French, Hebrew, and German respectively. Bristlesage translated hers for me, but the rest left it to my imagination. And they know my imagination, so you can just guess what I'm thinking they said. I listened to them this morning to start my day out right, and boy did they. I also listened to [livejournal.com profile] chopinsnocturne's message in Italian again. I think she's reading me a poem. It melts me. They all melt me.

I was going to take the afternoon off and go see movies, but I decided that I didn't want to break my therepy appointment, so I'm just going to see one flick (which ends tomorrow) and I'll take tomorrow off to see four or five more. The best part about taking the day off is getting to have AIM conversations with people who I don't normally get to. Yay for that!

Is there anything else you'd like to discuss?

Bend It Like Beckham - A charming little British film about an Indian girl who wants to play soccer and her strict parents won't let her. Charming is the word for it. It was predictable, but funny. Having a whole bunch of young hotties running around in sports bras wasn't a horrible thing, either, though they were mostly too skinny for my tastes. The lead actress was beautiful, as so many Indian girls are, with dark eyes. But anyway, as far as the movie goes, it was good in a My Big Fat Greek Wedding kind of way: A lot of contrived conflict, up-and-down roller-coastery emotions, and a happy ending. There was a little love story that worked at first but took a horribly wrong turn at the end. Joey gives Bend It Like Beckham three stars out of four.

I just added Howard Dean to my list of LJ interests, linked to his site on my LJ info page, and joined the LJ community about him ([livejournal.com profile] howard_dean). And yet, I'm stereotyped as Green.
