Stuff (mostly copied from an e-mail I sent earlier)

Let me talk about books, shall I? Here are two things that I look for in a book: Firstly, I like chapters. Lots of chapters. I hate hate hate stopping my reading in the middle of a chapter, and I read slow, so if chapters are long then I have to stop in the middle. To me it's like pausing a movie and picking it up later. Can't stand it. This is another reason why I like Vonnegut and hate Faulkner. The second thing I like is good readable print. I hate the little 4x7 mass market paperbacks with their tiny print and crammed-together lines. It makes it so hard to read. I have to keep going back and re-reading sentences. I much prefer the slightly larger paperbacks with bigger spaced-out print. Also, I prefer paperbacks to hard covers. And thus ends my book rant.

On my picture: More people should tell me that I'm beautiful. I mean, the back-and-shoulder hair ALONE is worth comment. Go ahead, I'll wait... I took that last Saturday morning. I was really grumpy and groggy and hadn't gotten enough sleep when I went to take my meds. I looked at that face in the mirror. I was to grumpy to actually laugh at myself, but I somehow had the presence of mind to know that it should be saved so I could laugh at myself at a future time. My camera was right there (the battery charger is in the bathroom), so I snapped it. I wasn't being extra-grumpy or anything; that's just how I looked at the time.

And let me say this: As much as I don't like much about myself physically, I do have to say that I like my nose. It's a great nose. There's character in that nose.
