Therapy was okay. As I am having a pretty good day, which would be made even better by receiving e-mail and text messages, it was fairly easy to talk. I feel like a detached third party when I go. Anyway, we talked about being negative and self-defeatist, and she gave me some things to try. I was bringing up the point that I'll never lose weight/get better with finances/get a girlfriend because, well, because it hasn't happened in the past. Past performance often does indicate future results. So she wnats me to try changing what I say to myself: Instead of "I can't change myself", I should say "I haven't been able to do it in the past, but change is possible". I can live with that, I believe it, and I'll try to do it more.
I don't know, though. I tend to be very logical in my problem solving, so it's hard to believe that talking to myself will have much of an effect. But I want it to work, and therefore I'm going to try to make it work. I've got to shitcan the pessimism.
To get started: I haven't been able to spell therapy correctly on the first try in the past, but it is possible to do so.

For

I love Shag. He's an artist who paints funky scenes that are a warped 50's lounge style. I dig him very muchly.
Shag has a show called Our Deadly Affair at the Th'ink Tank Gallery in Denver between now and March 6th, 2003. I really must insist that you two go since you live there (for at least the next two weeks, in Lisa's case). Find Shag stuff and buy it for me, for I love Shag and Shag stuff. Do it for me? Please?
