Oscar Picks
Mar. 22nd, 2002 12:22 amOne of the best races in years. Hopefully. We'll see.
ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE - Denzel will edge out Crowe. Tom Wilkinson delivered the best performance, however. Worst choice would be Sean Penn (a great actor, but this isn't a great role).
ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE - Ian McKellen will win. A fine choice, but Broadbent was the best. Worst choice would be Voight, who wasn't all that good.
ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE - Tough call between Berry and Kidman. I think Berry will win. Berry is probably the best choice, though I liked Kidman and Spacek, too. I'd hate to see Judi Dench win because I don't think her role was all that challenging.
ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE - Jennifer Connelly is a talentless whore (love you, Nymmy!), but i think she'll win. I thought all five delivered fine performances, but I would vote for Maggie Smith.
( My Oscar Predix. I think people don't read entries as much when they're lj-cut... )
