Congratulations to The Detroit Red Wings, who clinched the President's Trophy (for best regular season record) tonight with a 2-0 shutout win over Edmonton. Now then, boys, let's have a good playoff run (likely against the same Edmonton team).

Edited to add: I don't know who maintains the Red Wing's Wikipedia page, but they already have the President's Trophy up there, as well as an updated roster to include Don MacLean who played his first game with the team today (and scored the winning goal). Man, that's dedication.

You're Canadian... What do you know about hockey?

I think you're right that for Canadian teams, it's easily the leafs (and especially in Ontario, I'm sure), but I think Detroit takes it over all.

I like Toronto, which is surprising since Tie Domi (anagram: Me Idiot) and Ed Belfour are among my least favorite players. Oh, and Lindros.

I don't know if you follow non-Leafs hockey, but just in case: Do you think Yzerman will come back for another year? With the way he's playing, I know he COULD. If they win the cup, though, I don't think he will.

Oh, he has the ability. He is actually from the city I'm living in now.

I would love to see Stevie Y in the league, but I think he's done after this season. I can't see what he has to play for anymore.
