Cashing in.

Susan is going to take the contents of my change jar into her credit union tomorrow because they pay out with no fees. I decided to sort out my foreign coins, and I took it one step farther by sorting the coins by type. I have 11 lb 3 oz of pennies, 5 lb 13.5 oz of nickles, 4 lb. 8 oz of dimes, and 5 lb. 7 oz. of quarters, plus $1.50 in half dollars and $34 in dollar coins. Based on my calculations, I should get $280.73 for all of that. It'll be interesting to see how close it comes to that.

Interesting fact: A pound of dimes and a pound of quarters are each worth $20.

Is there a hierarchy for a musician between the opera and the symphony? If you're the best cello player in the world, and all other things being equal, do you join the symphony or the opera? I would guess that it would have to be symphony for most if not all instruments, because you just don't get featured solo parts in opera the way you do in symphony music.

Also, it's always bothered me that the concertmaster/mistress is always the first-chair violinist. Seems like you may have a horn player or percussionist who is a natural leader and maybe they would like to be the "captain". Fricking violinists, only in it for the glory. I hate those snobby fucks.
