How I'd change the NHL.

Things I'd do to change NHL hockey:

1: Stop calling diving as an "add-on" penalty. The only time someone is called for diving (embellishing a penalty) is when someone else is getting a penalty. As in, "sure, he cross-checked you, but you fell easier than you should have". I think that's the most asinine thing ever. If the dude cross-checks you enough to get a penalty, then dude should go to the box. If he doesn't, but you fall to make it look like he did, then you should go. The way they do it now is just stupid.

2: Stop fighting off the face-off. They're "planned" fights and they're dumb.

3: Stop calling playoff games differently than regular season, and stop calling overtime different than regulation time. There's "let them play" and there's "let them rape each other".

4: Get rid of the four-minute penalty resulting from a cut. Why is a little blood the line between a two- and four-minute penalty? If you're going to have a four-minute penalty, do it on intent or blatentness, not on blood.

5: Put a live cougar on the ice during overtime. You can use either definition of "cougar".
