The more you know ™

Hint for the day:

Try not to get 15 weeks behind on your expense reports, especially if you travel a lot.

Edited to add: My trip last week put me over 500k lifetime miles on American. That's pretty good considering there are no credit card miles in there. Just airline mile (plus bonus miles, which are significant) and rental car points (very insignificant).

If I get to 1M lifetime miles, I'll be lifetime gold. That would take at least three years of this crazy travel schedule, and I don't know that I have it in me.

AmEx cut you off yet? For some reason, them suspending the card really lit a fire under my ass for getting the expense reports done.

No, AmEx hasn't cut me off because my company gets (and pays) the bill. I never see 'em. It's a very nice system.
